A short story of how Ray of Hope Medical started
Ray of Hope Medical and Family Home was started by Mr. Martin Kizito, a nutrition specialist after his master’s degree in the United Kingdom and Dr Irene Apio Wengi, a psychiatrist who currently works for the National Referral Mental Hospital, Butabika.
Ray of Hope was opened on the 1st August 2019 and has been in operation for five years now. So far, we have admitted and managed hundrends of patients with mental health problems and some of them were those who were brought about as a direct or indirect consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Registered Entity
We are registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) and also with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council (UMDPC)
